Equipment - 1 chair for everyone placed in the normal "musical chairs" formation, music

Grade level - 1-8

This is played like regular musical chairs - a chair is removed every time the music is stopped - except that no one is ever out. Students are allowed to sit on laps, stand on the back of a chair, basically try to get as many people on one chair, or touching one chair, as possible. We never made it down to one chair for safety reasons, but this is one activity the kids really love. It's a good cooperative activity, and one that can be used for holiday games simply by changing the music.

NOTE:  This can also be played using hoops instead of chairs - good for the younger kids (k-4).
